Hi, I’m Isabelle May, a Computer Science student at Gonzaga University with a concentration in Data Science. I’m a curious and driven problem-solver with hands-on experience in software development, data analytics, and project management. I’m especially passionate about building data-driven tools and applications that improve business insights and decision-making. Outside the classroom, you’ll often find me skiing, hiking, camping, or enjoying practically anything outdoors. I’d love to connect!
I’m seeking a role in data engineering, analytics, or data-focused software development where I can apply my technical skills to build scalable systems, extract meaningful insights, and support impactful decision-making. I’m equally excited by backend development work and cross-functional collaboration. Please feel free to reach out if you believe I would be a strong fit for your team.
I'm a strategic leader and adaptable team player, skilled in problem-solving, programming, and communication. I have experience working on software projects and data systems that support business operations, analytics, and reporting. Below are highlights of my technical skills:

Designed and implemented Gonzaga University’s New Venture Lab’s first permanent knowledge management system to preserve institutional knowledge across leadership transitions. The SharePoint-based Resource Hub centralizes 60+ curated resources, including role-specific training materials, internal templates, and external tool guides.
Integrated an AI-powered chatbot using Microsoft Copilot Studio to provide real-time guidance sourced directly from Hub content. Developed optimized information architecture and comprehensive maintenance documentation to ensure long-term sustainability.
Impact (Fall 2025):
• 96% participant engagement
• 57% of Project Managers felt adequately prepared (up from 28%)
• Eliminated 170+ hours of duplicated research per semester
LinguaLink is a full-stack scheduling platform developed in collaboration with Gonzaga University’s Department of Modern Languages to support virtual dual immersion programs across Jesuit universities in the U.S. and Latin America.
The system automates cross-institution class matching using a custom scheduling algorithm that accounts for class availability, language proficiency, and student counts.
Key features include role-based access control, automated email notifications, administrative override tools, and secure Google authentication.
College marketplace platform tailored specifically for students. The database focuses on enabling students to post and browse items for sale within their university community, offer freelance services to students or community members, message other users, and rate items and services they have received. The platform addresses a need for affordable, localized, safe, and convenient exchanges among college students and their surrounding community. Front end iOS app currently in progress.

In this project, we aim to predict flight delays based on various flight-related attributes using three classification algorithms: Naive Bayes (dt), Decision Tree, and Random Forest. Flight delays are a critical concern in aviation, impacting passengers, airlines, and airport operations necessitating the development of reliable predictive models to mitigate their effects. Accurate delay predictions can help airlines optimize schedules, enhance passenger experiences, and improve overall operational efficiency. python, machine learning, data science algorithms
User-friendly Farkle game designed and developed in Java, incorporating software development principles to create an engaging and interactive experience. The game includes intuitive gameplay, random dice rolls, and real-time score tracking.
